For your website to be successful, you need the latest software, set up and monitor your website server, keep track of multiple software licences & updates, as well as ensure your website is secure and the data is safe.

Security

Website security is a huge problem for poorly maintained sites everywhere. Investing in a WordPress Care Plan will give you the peace of mind that your website is being fully monitored, vulnerabilities are being detected, software is being kept up-to-date and backups are being made frequently. Don’t allow your website to be an easy target.

Performance

We will run a weekly performance scan of your site. This tells us how good your site’s performance is in terms of speed and if needed, how it can be improved. Information about your weekly performance checks will be included in your monthly client report.

Reporting

On a monthly basis we compile and send you a report detailing; software updates made, performance grade and optimisations made, backups taken, overall site security and details of uptime and downtime. This report keeps you in touch with what is happening with your site, with a summary of work we've done over the past month.

Scheduled Offsite Backups

Your website will be backed up several times a month (or more depending on your needs) to a separate server ensure if anything were to ever go wrong, we can deploy a backed up (fixed!) version of your website in minutes. We take backups of your websites database, content, pages and structure daily.

Support & Updates

All of our plans have support time included. Within your allocated support time, you can task us with anything you want (as long as it's possible in the plans time allocated), including design, development, performance improvements, content updates, designing new images and online consultancy. Any additional support required will be billed at a discounted rate.

Software License Fees

All your software will be fully licensed through RnR Design, ensuring your have the latest, up-to-date, and secure versions running on your website. Our developer licenses allows us to cover your site instead of paying for all the software individually.

Our website care plans are based on a recurring monthly or annual payment. Credit card payment available (2.9% credit card surcharge applicable).

We are often asked questions about our WordPress Care Plans so we have put together some of our most frequently asked questions below to help address some of the more common queries relating to this service.

Why should I let you take care of my site?

We understand the importance of maintaining your WordPress website. We have experience in installing and managing WordPress websites for a range of clients and have the expertise to keep your site working correctly. When we take on a new website project, we audit the site for security issues, ensure that the site is up to date, install additional security and backup procedures and monitor your site to keep it working optimally.

We'll need to run an audit before we can accept your website onto one of our Care Plans. The audit costs £299 and includes 2 hours of time to resolve any issues that we find with the website that need to be fixed before we can add you to a plan.

Do your care plans include hosting?

Our care plans do not include hosting, but we can recommend the best hosting provider, Rocket.net. This is hosting that has been specifically designed for WordPress websites, to provide a fast and stable platform for your site. You do not have to use this hosting if you are happy with the hosting company you have in place. We can support your website on any hosting you may have, although we highly recommend a professional WordPress hosting company as you will get better results.

How long does it take to set up my care plan?

Once you've signed up for one of our WordPress Care Plans, we'll be contacting you to arrange secure transfer of your website login(s) with our onboarding process (unless these have already been provided through our WordPress Care Plan Health Check). If your site requires migration, migrate and setup normally takes place within 24-48 hours after receiving all necessary information.

Will you help me get started with my WordPress Care Plan?

We'll send you a series of introductory emails. They detail how to effectively ask for edits, the best screen capture tools, our progress with things like plugin updates and speed optimization and other ways to get the most value out of your plan.

What tasks are included in the care plans?

Typically, any task that takes 30 minutes or less. This includes tasks such as adding content to your website, installing a new plugin, updating / adding images and more. Major design changes, feature or functionality additions are not included. For these tasks, we'll provide a quote for the time required.

How do I contact you if there is a problem?

We provide a support ticket desk for quick response, turnaround and tracking of all support requests. We will reply as soon as required, depending on the ticket urgency.

Do you manage Woocommerce websites?

Yes! We love WooCommerce websites and we are very happy to provide support for them. Due to the increased complexity and time required to assist with an eCommerce website running on WooCommerce, we would require the website to be on our Growth plan.

Can you support multiple websites?

Yes, we can assist with as many WordPress sites as you would like us to. Each website will have a separate Care Plan. We offer reduced monthly plans for clients with 2 or more websites. Please get in touch with us for more details. The discount is ideal for a business group with a number of websites, freelancers, agencies and more.

Do you offer email account management or setup?

Ensuring your email is delivered to your customer's inbox and not their junk or spam box is no easy feat. This is why we use and recommend Google's world-class business email service. G Suite is essentially Gmail for business. We don't host email on your servers so if you require a business email address, please select the optional G Suite business email option at checkout and we will do the technical bit for you.

What hours is support available?

We're available Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm (GMT - UK). However, Care Plan customers have the advantage of 24/7 support, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.

What if I need more support time?

All of our WordPress Care Plans include some additional support time each month. The level of time depends on the plan that you pick. At present, this time does not rollover. If you need support over and above the time included with your plan each month, please get in touch and we can discuss a custom plan.

My website wasn't originally built by RNR Design, so can I still go on a WordPress Care Plan?

Our WordPress Care Plans were initially offered just to our own website design clients. However, due to our expansion and the success of the Care Plans, we're rolling out the offers to support your website even if it was designed by another company. Our simple ethos is that we want to help business owners with WordPress websites to keep their sites safe, secure and updated.

We'll need to run an audit before we can accept your website onto one of our Care Plans. The audit costs £299 and includes 2 hours of time to resolve any issues that we find with the website that need to be fixed before we can add you to a plan. You will, however, receive a discount on the first month of your new WordPress Care Plan with us.

Which plan is right for me?

For most small business clients, we would typically recommend our Support package. This includes everything you need to keep your site functioning at its best. For larger companies or individuals who have a more demanding website, we recommend our Growth package. This includes additional enhancements, such as a content delivery network to speed up your website even further, extra support and advice through strategy sessions.

What is a staging site?

A staging site is a complete clone of your existing website that you can access via the internet via it’s own distinct web address. This allows all of us (you and us!) to preview changes to a site and test they are up to standard before they go live. Staging sites may be hidden behind a username and password, and Google and other search engines are discouraged from displaying the site in their search results.

Can I really cancel anytime?

Yes, you can cancel any time, (although we're confident you won't want to!), we just ask for one months notice. There is no long-term contract, unless you have paid for an annual subscription. Whilst we don't want you to leave, we do understand that sometimes business circumstances change.

In the unlikely event of you wanting to cancel your Care Plan, you can send an email to the support and we will guide you through the process.
